Best Soccer Players In My Mind


   All nine earlier essays are introductions about sports. So I wrote the articles objectively as possible. But in this time, to celebrate the 10th essay I'm going to tell my opinion. If you've seen the first and second posting, I like soccer, especially team FC barcelona. I usually see their matches to cheer. But FC barcelona belongs Spain Primera Liga, so I should get up until a.m. 2:00 or a.m. 4:00 to watch matches :/. Now, I will tell my favorite soccer players.
    First player is Sergio Busquets. He is defense mid-fielder in FC barcelona. He helps defending when opponent's team attacks. And he is starting point to attack. He's retention ability is awesome. He seldom lose ball. He's stature is 189cm, so he is really helpful when team has a set piece like corner kick, free kick, etc. He's ability to play soccer is awesome but he has one disadvantage. He is a slow runner. Maybe that's why he do defense mid-fielder. However, he try to cover his disadvantage for running hardly. He is actually my soccer role model. I also like to play in defense mid-fielder position. So I learn many good things from his playing.
    Next player is Xavi Hernandez. He is center mid-fielder in FC barcelona. Xavi is called 'Pass Master'. He is ranked no.1 in pass success rate in Europe Soccer League. He's pass is so accurate and helpful. He makes many chances in FC barcelona. He don't do only short passes, he also do many long passes. If you see FC barcelona's match, you know that Xavi also do many long passes and he's long passes is so accurate. In addition, He's characteristic is so nice. He is close friend with Iker Casillas who is captain in rival team Real Madrid.
    Finally, it is Leonel Messi. He is so famous soccer player, so you could hear his name. He is center forward in FC barcelona. He is ranked in Spain Primera Liga high scorer. He score 12 goals more than second, Cristiano Ronaldo. He gets FIFA ballond'or consecutively in four years. You can know what is FIFA ballond'or to see my 9th posting. He's stature is only 169cm. But so he can dribble more flexible. Defenders don't know how should themselves do in front of Messi. And he has special dribble skill named 'Phantom dribble'. Now, I don't know how could I explain his awesome skills more.
    Perhaps you recognized that all three people are in FC barcelona. I really like team FC barcelona, but I also like each players. I usually try to play like Busquets and FC barcelona. But it's said than done. I should more practice to play like them. Maybe this is my last posting in blog. It is good experience to write many essays whick is my favorite subject in English. If I have more time, I will come back with next 11th posting. Bye bye~~:)

Best Of The Best : Messi vs Ronald

    Have you ever heard 'El Clásico'? It is rival match between real madrid and FC barcelona. Both teams are famous soccer team in Spain Primera Liga. People are interested in final score, but they are also interested in best players representing each teams. Leonel Messi represents FC barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo does Real Madrid. How they play in El Clásico is another fun of match. But they have each own football style, so it is almost impossible to tell who is more better. I will write some differences between Ronaldo and Messi. And think what player is more fit in your style.
    First, their free-kick style is obviously different. Both are good shooter and great forward, so they almost take their team's free-kick chance. Messi kicks the ball with making ball's trace curve. So, opponent's goal-keeper gets deceived. And Ronaldo kicks the ball irrotationally. Then, the ball moves straight and is falling rapidly. It is more easy to understand video from Youtube. =)
    And their advantage is obvious, too. Ronaldo' height is 187cm. He is really tall. So he often scores headed goals. In contrast, messi's height is only 169cm. He seldom scores headed goals. But he can dribble the ball with composure. Messi doesn't use individual skills. Messi dribbles from side to side narrowly. So defenders fall down in front of him. On the other hand, Ronaldo always uses individual skills when he dribbles. Many defenders get deceived his step-over skill. And both are really fast, so they always win when do speed competition with defenders.
    Both are still best players in the world. As I said before, it is almost impossible to tell who is more better. Nowadays, Messi gets FIFA ballond'or consecutively in four years. Perhaps you don't know what it is, I'm going to tell for you. FIFA ballond'or is award that is given to the best player in that year. People think that best player in football is Messi consecutively in four years. But Ronaldo always ranked 2nd grade, too. It is difference between a piece of paper. Messi's lately condition is so good, so he get FIFA ballond'or fortunately. But someday Ronaldo can do it, too. Did you understand their own advantages? I like both styles, but I am fan of FC barcelona so I cheer for Messi. Ha ha.. You can tell me who do you like in comment and we can share our thoughts.

Peace In The Mind : Yoga

    In front of several people, there is a woman who stretches her body. She demonstrates some gestures and other people follow her movements. Maybe you imagine like this situation when hearing the word 'Yoga'. Perhaps, you would imagine that a woman do some gestures while watching TV. It is natural thought to imagine the previous two situations when hearing 'Yoga'. You don't have to prepare some expensive instruments. When you want to do 'Yoga', you just buy a mat to protect your body from hard ground. Now, I will inform some advantages to do cheap and easy sports, yoga.
    First, you can get slim body and nice body shape. I told that swimming makes you nice body shape when I wrote posting about swimming. Of course, you can have a good shape. But, when you swim your body consists of many muscles. And your body become a muscular body. But if you just want to fit nice and don't have to make a muscular body, it is great to do yoga. We don't have to use our body hardly. We just stretch and relax. You would get slim body and nice body shape naturally while doing yoga long time.
    As you could improve patience while doing marathon, you could improve peaceful mind while doing yoga. Except dieting yoga, almost yoga's gesture are static and peaceful. You don't have to string up your nervous unlike other sports like soccer. baseball, basketball, etc. Many people wants to do yoga because they don't want to compete with others. Without competition they just do yoga for self-development. In the silent room, they relax their body peacefully. You would improve peaceful mind naturally while doing yoga long time, too.
    You can gain these two advantages from yoga. Also, your body becomes more flexible. As I said before, you don't have to prepare expensive instruments. Plus, anyone can do yoga even kids and old people. In addition, yoga don't take long time. It is really useful and helpful sports. So when you have time on your side, it is really great to try yoga. We can do it, too!! : Paralympics


    Do you know what Paralympics is? Maybe you are interested in the disabled, so you would know it. But I will introduce for those who don't know it. Maybe they guess that Paralympics resemble Olympics. Yes, of course. People make Paralympics with taking 'para-' from paraplegia and '-lympics' from Olympics. It is Olympics that disabled people compete to get gold medals in. It is almost same as Olympics. Players who represent each country practice hardly to get gold medals. But rules of each events are little bit different. I will show some examples that have difference with Olympics.
    First, there are two kinds of soccer : for having cerebral palsy, for visually impaired people. Cerebral palsy soccer has almost same rules like normal soccer. But there are only seven people in each team. And they don't have to obey off-side rule. First half is only 30 minutes and second half is also 30 minutes. They run 60 minutes. On the other hand, visually impaired soccer is little bit different with cerebral palsy soccer. There are only five players in each team. All field players have to loose their eyesight totally. But if goal-keepers loose eyesight, they are too difficult to play. So it is ok to use person who has good eyesight. However, goal-keeper must be not a member of Football Association in the past five years. The ball that is used in visually impaired soccer has sound to inform to players where the ball is.
   And there is event only in Paralympics. It is 'Goalball'. I don't know what it is before watching real game. It is played by visually impaired players. Players have to roll the ball to opponent's goal-post. They play 7 minutes in each half. The ball is a little bit bigger than basketball and has two bells inside it. Players cover their eyes with guards for a full visual block. Maybe you don't understand what they do. So I prepare video for you!!
    Of course, there are more events in Paralympics like boccia, shoot, archery, etc. I just want to inform what Paralympics is and awaken giving more interest to disabled people. You should not avoid them. You have to think that they are same people like you with few difficulty. Latest Paralympics opened in 2012 in London. In the overall competition, China get first prize and Russia, UK are follow. Korea get 12nd. We have to encourage our athletes and to give more concern.

Battling with oneself : Marathon

    Have you ever heard the name, Gi-Jeong-Son? If you aren't Korean or Japanese, you would not know him. Actually, young kids in Korea don't know him well. Son was an Olympic gold medalist in 1936 Berlin, Germany. Event that he got medal is 'MARATHON'. In 1936, Korea is ruled by the Japanese. At that time, Son belonged to Japan and he ran the course with Japanese flag. After he finished the race, he didn't rejoice. And he came back to his locker room as soon as possible. It is sad story to Korean. But it is also happy thing because he is Korean and he got an Olympic gold medal. I really wanted to tell this story to more readers. So I wrote a little bit long. Back to the point, in this time I will introduce famous and easy sports, marathon. Marathon has 4 events; 5km, 10km, 21.0975km, 42.195km marathon. Each marathoners choose each events with their ability. I will write a few things why people do marathon.
    First, marathoners can improve their cardiovascular endurance development. 5km or 10km event are a little bit easy to adult men. Normal adult man runs 5km only 20-40 minutes. But 21.0975km and 42.195km event are difficult to normal adult men. Professional players like Son runs 42.195km for 2-3 hours. But player who just does marathon as a hobby runs 4-5 hours. Can you imagine that people runs for 4 hours? There is no sports that exercise more than 3 hours without a break. Some players just walk when they are out of breath. However, when they feels well again, they runs. If you practice to do 21.0975km or 42.195km marathon, you could improve cardiovascular endurance development more than any other sports.
    Also, you can improve patience. If you try to run long time, you would get troubles because legs are too painful and you are out of breath. But above all, you want to give up race. If there is still a long way to go yet and your body condition is terrible, you could think 'Ah....I just want to give up.'. People say that marathon is 'Battling with oneself sports'. People who don't have passion and tenacity give up easily. So it can be meaningful time to challenge marathon. If you practice marathon, you could improve patience and get tenacity.
    As I said before, it is really rewarding time to challenge marathon. If you do not practice marathon like professional players, you could learn many good things from marathon. I had ran 5km marathon when I was in middle school. In first time when I practice to run race, I really want to give up. I repeated again and again, I can handle it. And finally I finished race easily. Do my information about marathon become informative to you? I hope so =). I will come back with good posting about another sports. Interesting Water Sports : Swimming

     Have you ever heard the name, Tae Hwan Park? If so, you would know he is Korea swimming medalist. Once he was a powerful rival of Michael Phelps. But as time passed, he's skills were declined. But still in the minds of the korean, he is great swimming medalist. Tea Hwan Park enjoy swimming and is best player of the field. Now, I will write about swimming. Swimming is typical sports that people can enjoy in the summer. People also enjoy swimming in the spring, fall, and winter. But winter swimming is a little dangerous. You might know, I will tell you some advantages of swimming.
     First, you could improve physical ability. It is common advantages of every sports. But there is ability that is specially improved in swimming. Cardiorespiratory endurance and lung capacity . There are a variety of swimming events. 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, and 1500m. People might said "there is 1500m swimming, so 50m swimming doesn't matter." But if you tried to swim before, you know that it doesn't make sense. After you swim 50m with all your strength, it is really hard and out of breath. So after you swim diligently, you could improve your Cardiorespiratory endurance and lung capacity.
     And you can have nice body shape. If you are a man, you can have wide shoulders and strong muscles. And if you are a woman, you can have slim and sexy body shape. Because swimming uses the whole body movements, so you can exercise unbiased. But swimming especially uses arms and legs, so you could have wide shoulders even if you are a woman. So some women avoid swimming. But you swim for dieting, you don't have to worry. Swimming instructor will teach you satisfactorily. Therefore swimming is befitting sports to improve muscles and body shape.
     As you saw before, you can improve two special things while swimming. So, if you want to learn a new sports, swimming can be befitted. Almost every people who learn swim before don't forget how to swim. Thus, you learn swim once, you can swim every time if you want. My posting becomes informative to you? I hope so=). The virtue of the pipingness : Fishing

     Hello !! =) As you saw from title, I will write about fishing this time. I usually wrote about sports, so you may feel confused. You might say "Fishing is sports? It's not possible!" But I think fishing is sports. Because every sports have two features. Competition and physical activity. It will be easier for you to understand when you think another sports like football, baseball, basketball. Fishers have to compete, because the amount of fish is limited. And of course we use almost every body. Therefore I think fishing is sports. So in this time, I will write about fishing!! I will simply tell you two advantages of the fishing.
     First, it is typical feature of the fishing, PIPINGNESS. When you think common fisher, you might imagine that there are a man who is in front of the river, wear hat, sit on small chair and just wait. This is typical shape of fishers. Even we just look fishers, we can feel pipingness. Fish are not caught instantly when you throw a fishing line. So you wait for a while until fish is caught. Time gap is very flexible. So it is 5 minutes, 10 minutes or even 30 minutes. Fishers have lots of time, so maybe they read a book, communicate with friends, or think about tomorrow's plan. So, you can feel pipingness while fishing.
     And you can know the virtue of CHARITY. It is not corresponding when you fish to make money, but it's not, you would know. When fishers catch fish, they usually get 1~2 fish and let others go. Because they think that fish also has their own life, so we should not interfere. It is maybe implicit rule among fishers. So you just enjoy fishing, you can learn real charity.
     As I wrote before, Fishing is beneficial SPORTS. You can learn the virtue of pipingness and charity. And also you don't have to pay much money to fish. Because once you bought fishing rod, you don't have to buy every time until break it(but you have to buy bait every time, fortunately it isn't expensive). So when you have enough time to enjoy leisure, it is good way to enjoy fishing. I will come back while have another interesting sports posting~~. Bye bye.

Korean Traditional Sports : Ssireum


      Hello! I came back again~! =) This time, I'm going to introduce Ssireum to you. Maybe you don't know what Ssiream means. If you're a foreigner, it's natural. Because Ssireum is korean traditional wrestling. I'll introduce to you simply. Two people who are strapped thigh band called satba are trying to pull down each other to ground. When opponent's any body part is reached to ground, you win the game. Maybe you don't know what Ssireum is, so I prepare video. Then, I will introduce some spirits into Ssireum to you.
 
      First, we would know that agriculture is important in korea long days ago. Because when you win final match in Ssireum, you will get big bull. It's really hard to win final match. We would know how old people matter agriculture as winning product is bull. Agriculture is only way to people without money in Joseon dynasty or Goryeo dynasty, so bull is really important. But bull is not cheap, so people without money have more hardship. So, they are trying to get bull. As a result, Ssireum is a lot of development.
      Second, there is delicacy in Ssireum. Some people misunderstand that power is only way to win. Power makes easier to win, but it is a big mistake that power is only way. Ssireum player also trying to get fat, but there is weight limit in each section like under 90kg, 90.1~105kg, etc. Each player in same section has similar physical size, so techniques are really important in same section. It is really common that techniques evert the game. So, people should not misunderstand.
      Finally, we could feel spirit of fare play. Another sports players like football, basketball, baseball players feel angry when they lose. Few times, they recognize their ability, and praise opponents. But there are few times. In Ssireum, when winner pulls down loser, winner moves to loser quickly and helps loser to get up. And loser recognize opponents ability. Few times, they make angry, but it isn't chagrin. It is sorrow, not anger. So we don't have to get fear when we see Ssireum match.
      As you saw earlier, Ssireum is really beneficial sports. Except Ssireum, there are many korean traditional sports like jae-gi-cha-gi, yoot and so on. Now, you know almost about Ssireum. But also, I hope that you have more concern in korean traditional sports. If you want to know more information, so you learn more sports, it is a new experience. Tactical movement about FC barcelona play pt.2

       Hello, again! =). If you come to see this article, you may saw Part1. Because you would not saw Part1, I will introduce briefly. I am 20 years old now, and a common football fan. I've seen football almost 4-5 years and I became a fan of FC barcelona 3-4 years ago. I posted tactical movement about barcelona pt.1. But there are also lots of tactical movements in game, so I'm going to post one more time and I will finish writing about FC barcelona. I'm going to write about three more tactical movements.
       First, it is 'off the ball movement'. 'Off the ball movement' means how someone who doesn't have the ball moves. 'Off the ball movement' is commonly used other football clubs. But FC barcelona's 'off the ball movement' is different. I will say player 1 who doesn't have the ball and player 2 who have the ball. Player 1 should move forward, so makes to place which plyer 2 can dribble to. I know that my verbal description is difficult to understand. So I bring one video from youtube.        Second, it is 'offside trap'. If you play football game, you would know this term. It is a very similar term to everyone. Because 'offside trap' is almost used every other clubs. Above all, I inform you of offside. Offside is a kind of foul in football game. Offside means that attacking player is nearer to the goal than a defending player when the ball is passed to him. 'offside trap' is that defending players go forward, so make attacking player offside position. I also bring one video from youtube!       Finally, it is 'zero top'. I should introduce player's role in football game before I inform that 'zero top'. Basically, there are four position in football game. Goalkeeper who is in front of goalpost uses hands, feet, everywhere on body to protect his goalpost. Defender who is behind of players obstructs forward. Mid-fielder who is middle of players almost passes the ball to forward. And finally, forward who is in front of players shoots the ball to opponents goalpost. But 'zero top' breaks these traditional positions. 'Zero top' means that there are no forwards in their own team. Then, where are forwards? They go back a little, and become mid-fielders. And they passes each other more, so they have more chance to attack. But, maybe someone would worry about attack. There is no problem when team try to attack. Because all mid-fielders try to attack, so there are many players in opponents area.
     In the end, you almost learn every tactical movement about FC barcelona! As I said before, I hope that many people like FC barcelona. So we could see football match..! I finish football posting. Tactical movement about FC barcelona's play

       Hello. =)  Let me introduce myself before writing. I am 20 years old now, and a common football fan. I've seen football almost 4-5 years and I became a fan of FC barcelona 3-4 years ago. My writing skills and experience are a very little to write this article, so you understand a lot, please. Now, let's start! Before I write FC barcelona's tactical movement, I briefly introduce players that runs in FC barcelona. Andres iniesta who is given 2012 best football player in Europe, EURO 2012 MVP and Lionel messi who is given four consecutive years in current FIFA Ballon d'Or that is given to best player and Carles puyol who is pillar of the FC barcelona defense and who is captain of FC barcelona run in FC barcelona. And Xavi hernandez who is called pass master and who is subcaptain of FC barcelona and Victor Valdes who is goalkeeper of FC barcelona run in FC barcelona. In addition, there are great players, supervisor, coaches in FC barcelona. And I'm going to start tactical story in earnest. Tactical movement can be divided into three parts.
       First, it is the FC barcelona's youth system. FC barcelona's youth system informs children who want to be a soccer player in future how to play soccer better. I introduce youth system's simple steps, there are Infantil that belong to 13-14 years old players and Cadete that belong to 15-16 years old  players and Juvenil that belong to 17-19 years old players. They play with young players in those steps and they play with real football players in barcelona B. They gain experience in barcelona B and thet finally plays official game in FC barcelona. Inesta, Puyol, Xavi and Messi undergo those steps. And there are Korean players who undergo those steps. For example, Seung Woo Lee and Seung Ho Baek and Gyeol Hee Jang undergo those process. This youth system makes current share play in FC barcelona and there are ten players who undergo youth steps in best eleven of FC barcelona.
       Second, it's 'tiki-taka' pass play. 'tiki-taka'  is spainish that is referred as ping-pong ball which moves back and forth. In football, 'tiki-taka' means that football players pass the ball in a short and concise. Young players learn 'tiki-taka'  first in youth system and the basis of FC barcelona's share play is 'tiki-taka' . it's easy to understand after seeing this video from youtube.

       Finally, it is wingback's active overlapping. You may not know what is overlapping. Overlapping is that defense player helps attacking. When they should defense opponents, they defensed side area and when players team is going to attack, they helps attack so increase attacking player in opponent's area.
